  MY JOURNEY

Our personality is, what our mind absorbs from the surroundings. Many of us attend an expensive visits to a psychiatrist, yeah ..? But when nature has given us such thought-provoking and exciting blessings, why waste the money on excessive depressing drugs.

This year, I happened to make a remarkable and never to be forgotten journey to such an amazing and “ heart-throbbing”  places, which added up-to the refreshment of my mind and soul, and it left a relaxing mark on my tired soul for a lifetime.

It has been quoted somewhere :

   It’s the journey that matters , more than the Destination .

Our destinations were defined as, “ Banjoosa lake & Toli-Peer” ,WOAH! , the name still excites me. As soon we started entering the Northern areas , the cold ,relaxing climate filled our soul with enthusiasm  and joy. I still remember the goose-bumps ,I started to feel. The sky high mountains and beautiful tress made a perfect scene to be captured , we couldn’t blink the eye , as we didn’t wanted to lose a chance to see such an amazing scenery for even a millisecond. The twists and turns of the roads added to the thrill of the excitement we collected for this journey .

LOCATION

      It is located in Tehsil “Hajira”, District Poonch , Azad Kashmir at a distance of 20 kilometers from Rawalakot city, located at an altitude of 1,981 meters.

MARK OF BEAUTY ON EARTH

-      Banjoosa lake is actually an artificial lake , designed in an eye-catchy manner to look attractive and perfectly beautiful in all its aspects .

-This is the only visited lake in that region , it is surrounded by dense forest which adds up to the beauty.

ACCOMMODATION

-      This resort is visited by numerous tourists  every year as it is filled with the beauty and aroma of the surroundings. The weather of this area remains cool in summer and winters of December and January causes snowfall on the top of the mountains adding glitters to the painting of nature. Besides this many rest houses and huts of the AJK tourism and archeology, Pakistan public works department and Pearl Development authority are located here.

FOREST

-      The feasible benches fitted for the ease of tourists and natives gives a perfect comfort level , these benches are perfectly placed in the middle of the forests ,under the trees , besides the fragrance of lush green leaves.

      The reflection of green trees falling on the water, presents a scene of the mirror reflecting the most beautiful creation of this planet Earth.

TRANSPORTATION

      Banjoosa lake is easily accessible by a metallic road , where public vans and buses are available every time to feed the eagerness of natives and tourists to visit this beautiful lake .  

- THE AMAZING TOLI PEER..!!

When we talk about Heaven on Earth, we must never forget this amazing place, it’s almost a NO! When you visit Banjoosa lake and you skip the visit to this WOW! Place . This is the place where we can touch the sky and feel the clouds. In short , the most easiest way to reach the tremendous sky . This place gives a constant , pleasant smile to your lips till your precious stay there. If you are intended to have the most costly and precious GEM, then you must visit this place at-least once in your life, before you die .

LOCATION AND HEIGHT

       

        Toli peer which is also spelled as “Tauli” pir by some of the authors is  the hilltop area , also located in , Tehsil Hajira, District poonch , Azad kashmir , and it bears an approximate elevation of almost 8,800 feet above sea level . it is the highest mountain range in the northern area of Pakistan. It is the intersection point of three mountain ridges

.

CLIMATE

 The climate persists to be adorable in all seasons, but it is more accessible during the summers  ,as in. December and January the grounds and trees are totally engraved with heavy snow. The place is at its peak of natural beauty during April to September.

HIKING

Climbing to the hill top is one of the most amazing experiences, one can ever have . Standing at the ground, you cannot enjoy the beauty of this hill. Once you start climbing you never want your feet to ever stop, the fascinating attraction of the nature around , imposes you to reach the top and admire the purity of nature.  

VIEW FROM THE TOP

       Viewing from the top of a hill to the bottom of the ground is like viewing the heaven from the  fake and polluted world, and we human being can well imagine the pollution and fake behavior of people around. These views of the mountain top, takes you to the fantasy that has golden paths and never wanting to return back effect on your mind. No artist can even  draw or visualize such a tremendously beautiful scene.

 Standing there on the top of the hill, admiring the true beauty ,the serene environment takes us into deep thoughts of finding ourselves. Nature proves its purity in all its aspects , and we cannot deny the fact that we are not worth to stand with our impurities and trash-filled hearts on this earth.

 -      After paying this fine visit there . I truly feel that YES! “ Heaven lies on Earth and , it is right here in Pakistan, All we need to do is Explore this beautiful Pakistan.”
